Airline contact directory: official help pages
The fastest, safest way to reach an airline is through its own website or app. Here are the official help pages for major US and international airlines, with phone numbers only where the airline itself lists them, so you never end up on a lookalike line.

The short answer
Go through the airline's own website or app first. It's usually the quickest way to rebook, track a bag or ask for a refund, and it keeps you away from impostor phone lines that sometimes appear in search ads.
Below are official links for each airline. We list a phone number only when it appears on the airline's own site, and mark it with the date we checked. Numbers change, so the linked page is always the source of truth.

Each card puts bag problems first, then general customer help. Phone numbers are tap-to-call.

Know what your airline has promised
DOT's Airline Customer Service Dashboard compares what the largest US airlines commit to when a delay or cancellation is within their control, such as rebooking, meals and hotels.1 Each airline's full commitments are in its customer service plan.2 If you can't resolve something with the airline, you can file a complaint with DOT.4
The calm takeaway: start with the airline's own app or site, use only numbers listed there, and keep a note of names, times and reference numbers. That's usually all it takes.

Quick answers
Where can I find an airline's official phone number?
On the airline's own website or app, usually on a "Contact us" or "Help" page. Avoid numbers from search ads or unfamiliar sites, which can be impostors.
What is an airline customer service plan?
A public document in which an airline sets out its service commitments to passengers. DOT requires covered airlines to publish one, and DOT's dashboard compares key commitments.
What if the airline doesn't resolve my problem?
You can file a consumer complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation through its official complaint page.
